On the occasion of the upcoming release of his new film THE HEDONIST (2025), Spectacle presents Nick Funess’ rarely-screened debut feature YOUNG BLONDES, STALKED AND MURDERED (2024). The title says it all. After young actresses start mysteriously going missing, struggling actress Stacy (Samantha Carroll) begins to believe that she is being followed by a serial killer. In a shallow environment where all attention is good attention, that may not be such a bad thing.
A tense, paranoid meditation on the hollow nature of the Los Angeles entertainment industry, YOUNG BLONDES, STALKED AND MURDERED is a disquieting addition to the contemporary canon of low-budget horror.
